Natural Oils That Are Good For Bruises

Bruises that appear suddenly on the skin are often caused by physical effects such as impact, blow or pressure. However, some people may also experience bruising due to allergies, blood circulation problems or vitamin deficiencies. Bruises that occur especially in sensitive areas such as the eye area can also be aesthetically disturbing.

In such cases, many people turn to herbal and natural solutions instead of chemical creams. Herbal oils are easily absorbed by the skin and can support skin renewal with the vitamins and components they contain. In this article, we will discuss the prominent options among the oils that are good for dark circles and the types of oils that are especially good for the eye area.

Arnica Oil

Arnica oil is a herbal solution that has been used for a long time, especially in the treatment of bruises. Obtained from the Arnica montana plant, this oil can accelerate the healing of bruises caused by trauma. The ingredient called helenalin, which contains anti-inflammatory properties, helps reduce edema in the skin and support blood circulation.

It is often preferred for sports injuries, bruises after falls and swelling caused by impact. However, arnica oil should not be applied directly to the skin as it is a strong oil. It is recommended to use it by diluting it with a carrier oil (such as almond oil). It should not be applied directly to sensitive areas such as the eye area.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil, which is quite popular in skin care, stands out with its light structure and soothing properties. When applied to the bruised area, it provides both moisture support and contributes to skin elasticity. In addition, thanks to its antioxidant content, it supports the skin's self-renewal process by fighting free radicals.

Coconut oil, which is considered one of the oils that are good for the eyes, can be carefully applied under the eyes in a diluted form. In this way, it can both reduce the appearance of dark circles and protect the delicate skin around the eyes.

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil is known not only for its beautiful scent but also for its restorative effects on the skin. This oil has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, and can reduce sensitivity in the bruised area. Lavender oil also helps balance skin tone and can quickly correct discoloration.

Among the oils that are good for bruises, lavender oil stands out with both its relaxing effect and its structure that supports cell renewal. Before application, a few drops of lavender oil can be mixed with a carrier oil and applied to the bruised area with a massage. It should be used very carefully around the eyes and should not be used without dilution.

Horsetail Oil

Horsetail plant is one of the natural sources that supports skin health thanks to the high amount of silicon it contains. Thanks to this feature, it helps strengthen the vascular structure and contributes to the faster recovery of bruises caused by impact. It can be used regularly, especially for bruises that occur in the leg and arm area.

It is recommended to dilute it with a carrier oil before applying it directly to the skin. This reduces the risk of skin irritation and allows the product to be applied to a larger area. Although horsetail oil is not frequently preferred among the oil alternatives that are good for bruises, its effect is noticeable.
